— Our Mission
We don't just sing about the climate. We solve the problem.
« We make viral videos, concerts with stars, and major press conferences throughout Africa to IMPLEMENT the PLANKTON POWER climate solution by generating enough public pressure for immediate action. This will spur the world to do the same. Africa will lead the world in climate solutions. »
The narrative shift we are making
Three existential threats facing Africa
Extreme Heat
Temperatures are getting too hot for people to work outside, threatening millions of outdoor workers and farmers across the continent.
Agriculture in Peril
Ocean Acidification
Acid levels in the ocean soon to be too high for fish to survive.
— Our Solutions
Two pathways.
Both championed by Africa.
Scientific Solution
Plankton Power
Historically, phytoplankton are responsible for roughly half of global photosynthetic activity — through plankton in « ocean pastures. » Since the Industrial Revolution, plankton has declined globally by 50–70%. Replenishing the mineral dust these ocean pastures have lost, with as little as one spoonful per hectare, restores plankton historic health and productivity and removes the lethal excess of CO₂ from the atmosphere. Nature-based and nature-proven.
🔬 According to the Foundation for Climate Restoration (2019): restoring just 1–2% of the ocean is enough to remove sufficient CO₂. As few as just 100 coastal villages can bring back their fish and deliver the world’s most potent climate change solution.
Indigenous Solution
Indigenous Knowledge
African peoples hold traditional practices of sustainable land and nature management, accumulated over millennia. This indigenous knowledge — land stewardship, agroecology, land rights for women and youth — represents a wealth of proven, concrete solutions that already work.

The music that moves
the movement.
From the concert stage to coastal people — our anthem and videos carry the message across Africa and beyond.
"Africa Will Be The Climate Leader"
The anthem at the heart of the Africa Climate Band Campaign — analogous to « We Are The World » (1985). Once we film the new version of this video with African Stars, and it is seen by millions of people across Africa, the campaign’s mass movement of concerts and press conferences will be held in large, impressive venues with maximum media coverage.
Why Africa needs Plankton Power now
Filmed at the Bouche du Roy reserve in Grand Popo, Benin, with the coastal people who live from this sea. Steeven AGBELESSESSI, Project Coordinator, explains how we restore plankton historic health and productivity, how as few as just 100 villages can bring back their fish and deliver the world’s most potent climate change solution, and the $225,000 needed to produce the anthem music video with African stars and release it worldwide in 2027.
